Abstract The new Waste Directive 2018/851/EU strengthens the role of waste prevention and emphasizes recycling to facilitate transition a circular economy. So far, it has not been legislatively necessary for Czech Republic look at from broader perspective, especially in healthcare, where management is perceived as separate process suitable outsourcing. With directive economy, becomes part strategic processes. These processes are partially systematically covered by standards environmental system, used mainly industrial sector. optimal solution reassessment entire medical facility inclusion principle decision purchase product or service. condition successful implementation economy minimize negative impacts on health environment while maintaining economic sustainability such solution.
